Draftsman – Full Time Onsite (Salary DOE)

It is committed to delivering high-quality dump bodies and equipment, along with superior customer service, to a growing customer base in the Southwest.
Position Overview
The Draftsman will work closely with the General Manager and Production Managers in a fast-paced and collaborative environment. This role is ideal for a candidate who is organized, efficient, and capable of managing multiple priorities.
Responsibilities
- Create and revise detailed 2D and 3D drawings using SOLIDWORKS
- Interpret sketches, drawings, and verbal instructions to produce accurate 3D models
- Generate and understand process-flow diagrams and other technical drawings
- Perform thorough self-checks to ensure accuracy before supervisory review
- Apply engineering markups and make necessary drawing corrections
- Work closely with leadership and production teams to support design needs
- Maintain organized documentation and manage time effectively
Requirements
- Proficiency in SOLIDWORKS
- Strong ability to read, interpret, and create technical drawings
- Ability to produce accurate models from sketches and verbal descriptions with minimal supervision
- Excellent attention to detail with strong self-review skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel
- 2+ years of drafting or design experience, or completion of a drafting/design degree or technical program with relevant internship experience
- Shop or production floor experience is a plus
- Strong teamwork, initiative, and time-management skills
