Our Thermal Energy Storage (TES) systems minimize energy use while better protecting food inside frozen food warehouses, supermarkets, and restaurants across the globe. Position
The Director of Operations will lead both the operations and human resources functions with a focus on executing resource plans and supporting continuous improvement across the business. The company will look to this person to drive consistency and structure to help achieve company goals.
Roles and Responsibilities
- Revise, create, and implement systems, policies, and procedures that align with the overall strategy.
- Identify and address opportunities for improvement by collaborating with the leadership team and offer strategic and tactical suggestions and solutions. Support and participate in strategic meetings by leading topic selection, materials creation, meeting coordination, and holding team members accountable to agreed upon next steps and actions.
- Participate in agreement and contract reviews to include non-disclosure and sales agreements.
- Support project delivery and project management with process improvement, tool implementation, and documentation. Review models, job cost reports, compensation, and the client invoicing process to identify opportunities for improvement and procedural compliance.
- Work with and help oversee the outsourced Accounting and Payroll groups.
- Lead the human resources function including resource planning and budgeting, recruiting, onboarding, performance reviews, PTO administration, benefits administration, and advising leadership on staff-related decisions.
- Lead safety training initiatives for employees and contractors. Oversee the management of ISNetworld for compliance with some key clients and oversee the internal compliance program for contractors. Uphold standards for document control and drive consistency throughout the organization.
- Manage administrative staff and office-related support vendors.
- Education, Skills, and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree at a minimum
- 7-10 years progressive operations and human resources management experience
- Experience in green technology, clean energy, SaaS, or related industries
- Excellent English and written communication skills, Spanish is a plus
- Ability to identify operational issues and analyze root causes
- Strong organizational and relational skills with problem-solving instinct and a sense of urgency
- Computer Skills: Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint)
