This role will be responsible for managing all designers and engineers while shaping the future of our product offerings and design approach. You will play a critical role in driving engineering excellence, developing standards, and ensuring our custom-built solutions meet the technical needs of a diverse and growing customer base.

Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the engineering and design team, including electrical designers, drafters, and project engineers
- Own the full design lifecycle for custom low and medium voltage electrical systems and control panels
- Standardize and modernize design practices to support scalability, quality, and speed
- Ensure compliance with applicable codes and standards (e.g., UL 891, NEC, IEEE)
- Collaborate closely with sales, operations, and customers to ensure designs meet specifications, schedules, and regulatory requirements
- Mentor and develop internal talent; hire and scale the team as needed
- Stay ahead of industry trends and emerging technologies to position the company as a design leader
- Lead continuous improvement initiatives across engineering processes, documentation, and tools
- Support strategic growth by aligning engineering capabilities with evolving market and customer needs
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering (preferred) or Mechanical Engineering with strong electrical design background
- 10+ years of engineering experience in electrical systems fabrication, with at least 5 years in leadership roles
- Strong expertise in low and medium voltage electrical systems, control panels, and custom fabrication
- Deep understanding of UL 891, NEC, and related compliance and safety standards
- Proficient in CAD tools such as AutoCAD, Autodesk Inventor, or similar platforms
- Proven ability to build, manage, and inspire technical teams
- Excellent communication, organizational, and project management skills
- EIT or PE certification a plus
