Director of Community Fundraising

Our highly regarded client is seeking a strategic fundraising leader to drive and grow annual revenue exceeding $6M through signature events, gameday initiatives, grants, donor engagement, and corporate partnerships. This role will oversee fundraising strategy, revenue operations, donor stewardship, and event execution while leading a high-performing fundraising team.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the Foundation's fundraising strategy, generating $6M+ annually through events, auctions, grants, donor programs, and gameday initiatives.
- Oversee major fundraising events including the Season Premiere Gala, Charity Golf Classic, donor cultivation events, and auctions.
- Manage all aspects of the Foundation budget, revenue forecasting, and fundraising P&L performance.
- Develop grant funding opportunities and cultivate relationships with donors, sponsors, and community partners.
- Lead in-venue fundraising initiatives, overseeing revenue-generating campaigns and donor engagement programs during live events and oversee a 30–40 person sales team.
- Build and optimize donor engagement strategies, stewardship programs, and database management efforts.
- Supervise and mentor fundraising staff while identifying innovative revenue-generating opportunities.
- Bachelor's degree preferred.
- 5+ years of nonprofit or sports fundraising experience with direct responsibility for multi-million-dollar revenue goals.
- Proven success generating revenue through events, donor development, grants, sponsorships, and fundraising campaigns.
- Strong leadership, budgeting, project management, and relationship-building skills.
- Professional sports industry experience strongly preferred.
