Job Description
Key Responsibilities
- Own all aspects of the company’s accounting and financial operations
- Prepare and oversee monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
- Ensure accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with accounting standards and internal controls
- Oversee cash flow, general ledger, reconciliations, and close processes
- Administer the company’s 401(k) plan, including coordination with vendors and compliance requirements
- Partner with leadership to provide financial insights and reporting as needed
- Ensure compliance with applicable regulatory, tax, and audit requirements
- Continuously improve accounting processes and controls
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- 5–6+ years of experience in a Controller role
- Prior law firm or professional services accounting experience
- CPA or advanced accounting credentials (a plus, not required)
- Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting
- Proven experience managing accounting staff
- Ability to work independently, prioritize effectively, and meet deadlines
- High level of accountability, reliability, and ownership
