Controller, CPA
Job Description
A private organization is seeking an experienced CPA-designated Controller to lead its accounting function and support senior leadership on financial planning and strategic initiatives. This role requires a hands-on, detail-oriented leader who excels in fast-moving environments and can manage complex, high-volume activity with accuracy and discipline. This is an exciting role for someone who enjoys working with and collaborating with operations and for someone to be the right-hand to the CFO.
Controller Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee all core accounting processes, financial reporting, and compliance.
- Lead monthly close activities and ensure integrity of financial data.
- Manage audits, tax coordination, and internal controls.
- Support leadership with budgeting, forecasting, and analytical insight.
- Identify opportunities to enhance systems, processes, and automation.
- Provide direction and development to a small accounting team.
Controller Qualifications:
- CPA required
- At least 5 years of experience leading accounting functions at the Controller level
- Needs experience from a small - mid size organization
- Strong technical accounting knowledge
- Proven ability to streamline processes and leverage technology
- Clear communicator with strong leadership presence
