AM Law 200 firm seeks a Conflicts Attorney for their Houston office. 

Job Description
  • Must have at least one year of experience post JD, preferably from a large law firm
  • Candidate will be responsible for analyzing, resolving, and documenting conflicts of interest issues and conducting new client background research in order to support the firm's new business intake clearance functions working closely with the members of the Office of the General Counsel, the New Business Intake team and other Conflicts Attorneys. 
  • Conflicts and ethics experience is preferred. 
  • A bachelor’s degree and a law degree from an accredited law school are required. In addition, the candidate must have an active license to practice law in ANY US jurisdiction.
  • The conflicts team at V&E is very new (2 years old) and “went live” last year.
  • Role is ideal for Associate/ Staff level Attorneys that are looking to take a step back to have a better work life balance. Great for moms/ dads or candidates that are just tired of the grind.  They don’t want anyone that ever wants to practice law again or anyone that is still figuring it out.
  • Open to someone that has stayed home with kids for a few years and wants to re-enter the workforce.
