Job Description
COMMUNICATIONS SPECIALIST
Immediate need in Northwest Houston
Part time (approximately 20 hours per week) / Remote / Temp possible Permanent
Exiting opportunity to work for a company that was founded through Texas Legislature with the purpose of assisting school districts and charter schools with improving student performance, operating more efficiently, and implementing state initiatives.
If you have a passion for the education industry and a heavy communications background this is the perfect job for you!
Duties include:
Draft copy for web articles, newsletters, and social media campaigns. Often times you are working under short 2-4 day deadlines.
Assist with internal communications
Collaborate with marketing and graphic design team
Qualifications:
Experience in copywriting and editing
Advanced Microsoft Word & PowerPoint
Proficient command of English
Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills
Bachelor’s degree in communications, public relations, marketing or related field.
3+yrs of recent experience in a communications or public relations role.
*Must be available during the hours of 8-5 Mon-Fri
*Will only consider candidates that are non-working or working less than 25-30 hours elsewhere.
