In-House Contracts Paralegal
Location: Northwest Houston, TX
Schedule: Full-Time, In Office
Compensation: $50/hour

A well established international company is seeking an experienced In House Contracts Paralegal to join its legal team in Northwest Houston. This is an excellent opportunity for a contracts focused legal professional who enjoys working in a corporate environment and is comfortable reviewing, redlining, and managing commercial agreements.
The ideal candidate will have 4 to 10 years of paralegal or contracts experience, with a strong background in commercial contract review and redlining. Experience supporting manufacturing, procurement, sales, technology, energy, or another B2B industry is highly preferred.

The ideal candidate is a confident, detail-oriented contracts professional who can serve as an effective first level of review for commercial agreements. You should be comfortable working independently, managing multiple contracts simultaneously, meeting deadlines, and knowing when an issue should be escalated to an attorney.

Key Responsibilities
- Conduct initial reviews of commercial contracts and agreements.
- Review and accurately apply redlines in accordance with established guidelines and legal direction.
- Identify contractual issues and escalate questions or concerns to attorneys as appropriate.
- Work closely with attorneys and internal business teams throughout the contract review process.
- Assist with agreements related to sales, procurement, vendors, suppliers, and other commercial activities.
- Ensure contract reviews and revisions are completed accurately and within established timelines.
- Maintain organized contract documentation and records.
- Utilize Microsoft Word, Outlook, and other technology to efficiently manage legal documents and workflows.
- Leverage AI and other modern technology tools to assist with contract review and redlining.
- Provide general paralegal and legal support as needed.
- 4 to 10 years of relevant paralegal or contracts experience.
- Strong hands-on experience with commercial contract review and redlining is required.
- Experience working in an in-house corporate legal environment is strongly preferred.
- Background in manufacturing, procurement, sales, energy, technology, or another business-to-business industry is highly desirable.
- Strong understanding of contract terminology and commercial agreements.
- Excellent attention to detail with the ability to identify inconsistencies and potential issues.
- Comfortable communicating and collaborating directly with attorneys and internal business partners.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Outlook, and other Microsoft Office applications.
- Comfortable learning and utilizing AI and other technology to improve contract review processes.
- Paralegal degree, certificate, or formal legal education preferred.
- Must be comfortable working fully in-office in Northwest Houston.
