We are seeking an energetic and motivated Business Development Associate to join a growing team within an established financial services organization. This is an excellent entry-level opportunity for someone interested in building a career in sales or business development.
The Business Development Associate will be responsible for responding to inbound leads, identifying and qualifying prospective clients, and conducting proactive outbound outreach. Qualified opportunities will be transitioned to the sales and consulting team. Key Responsibilities:
- Complete a comprehensive onboarding and training program
- Respond to and qualify inbound leads
- Conduct proactive outbound calls to identify and develop new business opportunities
- Build relationships with prospective clients and effectively identify their needs
- Qualify leads and schedule appointments for the sales and consulting team
- Maintain consistent daily call activity and work toward monthly performance goals
- Accurately document lead and prospect information within CRM and sales platforms
- Participate in ongoing training and professional development
- Develop knowledge of company products, services, and industry trends
- Maintain a professional and positive experience throughout all prospect interactions
- Collaborate with the business development, sales, and consulting teams to support overall growth
Qualifications:
- Previous sales experience is not required
- Strong verbal communication and professional phone presence
- Confident, outgoing, and comfortable speaking with prospective clients
- Strong questioning and listening skills
- Motivated, persistent, and goal-oriented
- Ability to handle rejection and remain positive
- Strong organizational and time-management skills
- Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment
- Entrepreneurial mindset with a strong sense of initiative
- Positive attitude and ability to work effectively as part of a team
- Proficiency with Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel
- Some travel may be required
