Bookkeeper
Job Description
- OVERALL - Effectively perform the full cycle accounting, reporting & analysis for 2 companies – (Service companies with job costing )
- GENERAL ACCOUNTING (DAILY/WEEKLY/MONTHLY) - Perform all aspects of daily accounting duties including A/P (high volume paid via Company credit card and checks), A/R, credit card reconciliations, monthly bank statement reconciliations, expense reports, prepaid expenses, accruals, payroll, procedure processes, monthly journal postings, commission and intercompany receivables and payables.
- MONTHLY CLOSE/ REPORTING & ANALYSIS (MONTHLY) - Perform monthly closing of financial statements. (A/R, A/P, P/R, Cash, etc) Review and analyze monthly reports after monthly close.
- CASH FLOW STATEMENTS (MONTHLY) – Prepare, update & provide Cash Flow Statements’ analysis and review with Company Management regarding capital improvements and other major expenses.
- PAYROLL & TAX REPORTING (QUARTERLY/ANNUALLY) – Process and file quarterly reports with state and federal regulatory agencies, including annual filings of Form W-2 and Form 1099.
- OTHER - Perform other office tasks such as filing and answering phone calls. Providing additional value-added activities and supporting operational and departmental excellence, while fostering teamwork between all functions. Maintaining honest and ethical conduct, including the ethical handling of actual or apparent conflicts of interest between personal and professional relationships and keeping all Company information confidential.
Qualifications
- Bachelors Degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business.
- 2-3 years of experience
- NetSuite or QuickBooks experience
- Financial Reporting and Full cycle Bookkeeping experience
