Location: Energy Corridor located near Eldridge/Memorial area
Length: Indefinite temporary opening

Job Summary: The Grant program Analyst will work closely with and support the members of the Foundation in order to successfully achieve the program objectives falling under this position’s responsibility.
  • Responsible for developing, implementing, and measuring sound strategic social responsibility programs that are consistent with the Foundation’s mission.
  • Responsible for all the critical steps of the grantmaking process. This includes: program strategy, budgeting design and planning, prior to the implementation of the program and then execution, measurement, monitoring, and evaluation once the program is in its implementation phase.
  • Provide support to the grantees and programs.
  • Balance the programmatic demands of each focus area and will work with current and potential grantees to analyze, create, and document the maximum number of outputs or outcomes possible, focusing on maximizing the return for the Foundation on each dollar invested in the social project.
  • This position requires initiative, strategic and analytical skills, and creativity.
  • The candidate must have the ability to prioritize projects, meet deadlines, and possess skills in addressing competing sets of priorities.
  • Should have relationship management skills, communications skills, and the flexibility and the ability to thrive in a dynamic and complex environment.
  • The Foundation is looking for candidates with 10 years of experience in the non-profit industry or development agencies.
  • Experience in grant-making or grant evaluation is a must.
  • The ideal candidate must have a bachelor’s degree from an accredited university, preferably with a master’s degree.
  • Background in public health desirable, but not necessary.
  • Fluency (proficiency) in Spanish is a requirement.
Job Duties:
  1. Responsible for creating processes and systems for grant programs including data collection and accountability; frameworks and tools; and streamline monitoring tools and data collection protocols to ensure accurate collection and verification of grantee reports. Coordinate with legal and compliance teams to ensure implementation and adherence of appropriate policies and procedures to safeguard the foundations and Company. Work with grantees to define grantee reporting criteria and an evaluation system to track the progress of all programs and/or grantees.
  2. Maintain accountability of strategic investments by measuring and evaluating all donations to ensure that programs reach stated goals and objectives in alignment with the Foundation’s objectives. Ensure that all established procedures and processes are followed to ensure consistency and transparency as well as document whether programs are a good return on investment. Conduct site visits, if possible, of grantees and signature programs, or delegate this to third parties. Work with the Communications team to accurately report on performance metrics, publish results, and communicate those to key stakeholders. Work collaboratively with non-profits and agencies to maximize the impact of each dollar by seeking efficiencies and educing duplication of efforts.
  3. Successfully implement key stages of selected grant program(s) including, but not limited to: strategy, design, planning, measurement, monitoring, and evaluation. Manage the grant awards process including program announcement, request for proposals, development of criteria to evaluate applications, review of proposals, grant agreements, and communicating with current and future grantees.
  4. Develop metrics to measure the Foundation’s effectiveness and impact, and present results to the Board. Conduct research on strategies to stay abreast of current best practices and opportunities. Recommends changes to the Foundation’s contribution policies and procedures accordingly with impact achieved.
  5. Support the president of the Foundation in meeting the Foundation objectives, including strategic planning for year activities, budget, internal reporting, organizing events and webinars, and keeping a database of existing grants.
  6. Support other special projects and tasks as assigned with the Foundation, including individual patient agreements and transition plan.
Minimum Qualifications:


Degree:
  • College Degree (Bachelors Level) - REQUIRED
  • Master's Degree. Preferred.

The minimum number of years of job-related experience required is:
  • 10 years. 

List any specialized training or unique skills required:
  • Experience with increased responsibilities on social responsibility program development and grants management.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of program monitoring and evaluation methods.
  • Experience working with non-profit/charitable organizations in health, education, or environment.
  • Strong analytical skills.
  • Good communication, interpersonal, and organization skills.
  • Knowledge of MS Office programs, such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and ideally Versaic.
  • Position may require some travel time.
