Back Office Analyst- Houston, TX 77002
Qualifications:
- Undergraduate degree in accounting, finance, mathematics or 1-2 years of similar experience.
- Strong analytical and Excel skills, with a focus on accuracy and attention to detail.
- Ability to work under pressure, adapt to change, and demonstrate innovation.
- Effective communication and customer service mindset.
- Strong drive to improve processes and IT proficiency.
- Develop tools and reports, optimize processes, and adapt to business changes.
- Manage a portfolio of trading counterparts and ensure accurate deal-sheet validation. Monitor and verify exchange-traded positions, reconciling open trade equity.
- Report financial trades to regulatory authorities promptly.
- Handle invoicing, settlements, and reconciliation with counterparts.
- Analyze trade confirmations and settlements for accuracy.
- Assist with onboarding new counterparts and address Back Office queries.
- Participate in projects and support team members, including mentoring juniors.
- Run management reports, conduct ad-hoc analysis, and implement process improvements. Identify and mitigate operational risks, ensuring compliance with regulations.
