Job Description

The Assistant Warranty Manager will support the Warranty Manager in overseeing the warranty operations of the dealership. This role involves managing warranty claims, ensuring compliance with manufacturer policies, and maintaining accurate records. The ideal candidate will possess excellent organizational skills, strong attention to detail, and the ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist the Warranty Manager in processing and submitting warranty claims to manufacturers in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Review and verify warranty claims to ensure compliance with manufacturer guidelines and dealership policies.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of manufacturer warranty policies and procedures.
  • Communicate with service advisors and technicians to gather necessary information for warranty claim submissions.
  • Track and follow up on all outstanding warranty claims to ensure timely resolution.
  • Maintain accurate records of all warranty transactions and claims.
  • Assist in training service department staff on warranty procedures and updates.
  • Handle customer inquiries and concerns related to warranty coverage and claims.
  • Assist in preparing warranty reports and analysis for management review.
  • Collaborate with other dealership departments to ensure smooth warranty operations.
Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent; associate or bachelor's degree preferred.
  • Previous experience in a warranty, service, or administrative role within an automotive dealership is highly desirable.
  • Strong understanding of automotive warranty processes and manufacturer policies.
  • Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and record-keeping.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in using dealership management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
