- Managing an existing base of customers focusing on growing the business they have and improving load count, revenue and margin.
- Finding potential new customers.
- Producing rate quotes in conjunction with the inside sales team.
- Participating in tenders alongside the Inside sales team.
- Liaising with other departments such as Operations and Credit Control concerning the performance of their accounts
- Attend Conferences and Exhibitions.
- Other job duties, as assigned
Education and Experience
- At least 5 years external sales experience ideally within Logistics/Shipping
- The ability to identify market trends and customer requirements
- Experience in working with decision-makers (senior stakeholders), internally and externally
- Innovative working and thinking outside the box
- Purposeful, pragmatic and results-oriented work
- Punctuality, and ability to multi-task in face paced environment
- Willingness to travel for sales related tasks
