Accounting Manager / Senior Accountant
We are seeking an experienced and hands-on accounting professional to join our team immediately. This role will be responsible for overseeing day-to-day accounting operations, managing the general ledger, accounts payable, payroll support, bank reconciliations, financial reporting, and inventory-related accounting functions. 
Responsibilities
• Maintain and reconcile the company’s General Ledger to ensure accuracy and completeness of financial records.
• Process and enter all accounts payable invoices while ensuring appropriate approvals are obtained prior to payment.
• Prepare and issue approved vendor payments through designated payment methods.
• Record and reconcile all cash receipts and disbursements.
• Reconcile bank accounts, cash accounts, credit card payable accounts, and credit card collection accounts.
• Prepare monthly financial statements by the 15th day of the following month.
• Calculate hourly payroll hours worked and prepare payroll information for submission to the payroll processor, subject to management approval.
• Calculate sales commissions and incentive compensation for sales personnel and prepare submissions for payroll processing.
• Audit and verify incoming inventory against invoices and packing documentation, identifying and reporting discrepancies.
• Assist with inventory processes including applying retail labels to inventory items.
• Maintain organized accounting and vendor files to ensure quick and accurate document retrieval.
• Supervise and direct the daily duties of the Sales Order & Inventory Data Clerk.
• Collaborate closely with executive leadership to support financial operations and reporting needs.
Qualifications
• 5+ years of accounting experience with strong general ledger and full-cycle accounting knowledge.
• Experience with accounts payable, reconciliations, payroll support, and financial statement preparation.
• Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
• Supervisory or leadership experience preferred.
• Inventory accounting or inventory reconciliation experience is a plus.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software systems.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
