Job Description

Accounting Manager- Houston, TX 77079 Responsibilities:

Manage and oversee the month end close process and preparation of consolidated financial statements.
Oversee reconciliations of accounts, trouble shoot issues, and prepare ad hoc reporting and analysis as needed.
Identify trends and risks in financial data and report to management.
State income and payroll tax reporting and payment.
Management and maintenance of the ERP system including the improvement of accounting procedures to utilize the ERP system more effectively.
Establish and enforce proper accounting methods, policies, and principals and provide recommendations to improve internal policies and procedures.
Coordinate annual audits and work with other 3rd party finance consultants.
Assist Controller with reviewing and/or approving banking related transactions.
Responsible for regular cash flow reporting and assist with cash flow forecasting.
Develop staff by setting goals, providing training, and maintaining strong employee relationships.
Other related duties as assigned.

Critical Competencies:

Experience:

Proven working experience as an Accounting Manager, Accounting Supervisor or Finance Manager.
Manipulating large amounts of data
Creating/designing policies and procedures while adhering to existing policies
Identifying areas of risk and providing solutions.
