Accounting Clerk
Job Description
We are seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Accounting Clerk to join a growing team in North Houston. This position will support day-to-day accounting operations with a primary focus on accounts receivable, cash applications, collections, and vendor reconciliations.
Responsibilities
- Enter and post daily cash deposits.
- Handle AR collections via phone and email.
- Send customer statements and follow up on outstanding balances.
- Research and resolve customer account discrepancies.
- Scan, save, and distribute customer invoices.
- Reconcile vendor payables and verify invoice numbers and amounts.
- Maintain accurate customer and vendor information within the accounting system.
- Communicate professionally with customers, vendors, operations, and management.
- Assist with accounting process improvements as needed.
- 3+ years of accounting experience.
- Experience with AR, collections, cash applications, and reconciliations preferred.
- Strong Microsoft Office and general computer skills.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
- Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving and time-management abilities.
- Self-motivated, dependable, and comfortable working as part of a team.
