Customer Service - Chemical Industry!
Job Description
Responsibilities:
- Receive purchase orders and review them for accuracy, completeness, correct pricing, payment terms, delivery terms.
- Check for product availability, create Sales Order in Oracle ERP and send the order acknowledgement to Customer.
- Coordinate with Customer/Sales Rep for any order amendments.
- Create required Shipping documents for Domestic Orders and send dispatch instructions to warehouse.
- Coordinate with Warehouse and transporter for timely dispatch.
- Create export shipping documents for Export orders and coordinate with Freight Forwarding Company to secure freight booking. Coordinate between Freight Forwarder and Warehouse to ensure timely dispatch.
- Create Drop Shipment Orders on India Manufacturing and coordinate with India Logistic Team for timely deliveries.
- Review Open Order reports on daily basis. For Orders not shipped on time, escalate with Supply Chain team or Warehouse to resolve the delay. Record delivery non conformances in Oracle ERP.
- Coordinate between Customer and Warehouse to process Return Orders. Follow return order procedure in Oracle ERP.
- Manage phone or email enquiries from Customer and servicing their requests or complaints in timely manner with appropriate resolutions.
- Keep records of enquiries/complaints.
- Greet customers warmly and ascertain problem or reason for calling.
- Participate regularly in the Supply Chain Coordination meetings.
- High School Diploma or equivalent and three to five years of Chemical Customer Service experience, required
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
- To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Word Processing software; Spreadsheet software; Internet software and Database software.
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
