Job Description

Financial Reporting Analyst- Houston, TX 77002 Responsibilities:
  • Researches, documents, and applies US GAAP and IFRS Accounting Principles to the US Renewable entities.
  • Ensures application of the Renewables Accounting Manual to each entity and help with maintaining accuracy and timeliness of financial reporting for the various subsidiaries
  • Supports the quarterly IFRS consolidation process for the subsidiaries within scope
  • Prepares US GAAP and IFRS financial statements and footnotes for subsidiaries on a quarterly basis
  • Handles auditor liaison as necessary for both the companies consolidation and for standalone audits of the operating subsidiaries
  • Develops the tools to streamline and manage the IFRS to US GAAP conversions and vice versa.
  • Prepares journal entries related to M&A and Structured Finance transactions (acquisitions, divestments, tax equity transactions, internal restructures) and ensure accuracy of general ledgers and consolidation reporting following transaction completion
  • Reviews financial statements of non-operated JV’s, and liaise with partners as necessary to ensure conformity to the companies requirements
  • Acts as a liaison amongst internal functions and External Stakeholders with respect to technical accounting topics
Qualifications: 
  • Bachelor’s degree and a Certified Public Accountant with Big 4 public accounting experience
  • 5+ years of demonstrated finance and accounting experience
  • Must have proven experience of being hands on in the financial reporting and consolidation processes of complex operations including having experience with consolidation and financial management of multi-tiered legal structures (JV’s, LLCs, tax equity partnerships)
  • Strong (written and oral) communication and interpersonal skills
  • Knowledgeable of US GAAP and IFRS; able to research, document, and apply relevant accounting standards
  • Superb attention to detail and ability to deliver results in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
  • Comfortable with working autonomously and responding to change
  • Experience managing, supervising, and training others
  • Familiarity MS Dynamics
  • Team oriented and willing to challenge the status quo
